Students learned about Hanukkah, a winter holiday. Students learned about various Hanukkah symbols including a menorah, dreidel, Star of David, and gelt. Preschoolers practiced counting with one-to-one correspondence by counting eight candles on a menorah. During whole group music and movement, students learned the "Dreidel Song," and enjoyed many Hanukkah-themed read alouds. At the art creative learning center, students made coffee filter dreidels that were displayed on our classroom windows, and a glitter Star of David, which is made of two triangles. We had so much fun learning about Hanukkah!
