Students learned about Martin Luther King, Jr. through books, activities and discussion. We learned about his dream for equality, and talked about how our differences make us special. We read a nonfiction book about Martin Luther King, Jr. on Epicbooks.com on the smart board, The Crayon Box That Talked and a poem called, "With My Own Two Hands." At the art learning center, students colored a hand picture with various skin tone crayons. Also, students brought home a MLK mini book to read at home with their families.
