This week, we worked on letter "M"! We read Goodnight Moon (Wise Brown), and painted a moon on the easel in the art center. We also read our "My Mm Book". In the book, there was a mitten, monster, monkey, moon, and mouse. When you read your books at home, make sure to find all the "M's" with your magic pointing finger! For math, we worked color identification, and sorting M&M's by color. It was so much fun!! "M" is for marble painting! Preschool students used creativity to make beautiful pink, purple, and red Valentine marble paintings. This was a new experience for most! "M" is for music. We used plastic eggs and rice to make egg shaker instruments! Students used them during music and movement with a song called "I Know a Chicken," by The Laurie Berkner Band. Now, it is one of our favorite songs! "M" is for mouse. We created a heart mouse craft for the "M" page in our ABC books, which we have been working on all school year.
