In preparation for the Fall Harvest Luncheon, we explored our garden today. First, we read the book My Garden by Kevin Henkes at story time. Then, we went outside to our gardens at James Morris School to pick curly kale! After it was all picked, we brought it back to our classroom, and picked all the kale leaves off of the stems. The curly kale will be used to make kale chips. We can't wait to try them on Monday! I am very proud of the preschoolers for working hard and having fun!

What a wonderful activity! Grayson also helped me make apple pie today. He's great rolling out the crust!

Can't wait to taste those kale chips! The students also did a terrific job working with their Kindergarten buddies to sow fall seeds. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to work with the pre-schoolers during Wellness Enrichment!
