During whole group circle time and center time, we built Mat Man, and sang the Mat Man song, which helped us remember which parts needed to be added. Then, we drew Man Man using our mini flip crayons while standing at the easel!
Using Handwriting Without Tears, we have been working on identifying big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves. Students have been using the lines and curves to make Mat Man! Mat Man activities will help students to understand spatial awareness, and with early writing and drawing skills through multisensory learning strategies.
