International Dot Day is this Thursday, September 15th!!! In preschool, we have been doing many dot activities this week to get ready for the big day! We noticed that a dot is shaped like a circle, which is the shape we are working on this month. We really enjoyed reading The Dot by Peter Reynolds, and watching it on our Smart Board. You can watch The Dot on your computer at home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5mGeR4AQdM. We are watching The Dot on our Smart Board. We took a field trip to Mrs. Sweet's room for art enrichment, and made dot art! It was so much fun!!! We played the game I Spy a Dot! Then, we decided to take pictures of all the dots and circles that we found. They are everywhere!!!

When Grayson came home and showed me his dots, I went to our bookcase and pulled out that book. He was very excited to see we had it at home!

Quenten saw the book when he got home and we had to read it immediately....clearly it is a hit in our house. Do you also have his book "Ish"?
