Thank you so much, Mrs. Lauretano! We had so much fun, and learned a lot!
Mrs. Lauretano visited our class, and taught us all about being an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)! EMT's help people when they need emergency medical care if they are injured or critically ill, and transport patients to a medical facility. Mrs. Lauretano showed us what she would do if someone had a bad cut, or broke their arm. Using a stethoscope, students had an opportunity to listen to their own heartbeat! Mrs. Lauretano even gave us a stethoscope to pretend with in the dramatic play center. Students learned about equipment and tools that EMT's have with them, and what they do when they arrive at the accident scene. During learning centers, children worked on fine motor skills by using bandaids to make a "Star of Life" symbol on an ambulance picture.
Thank you so much, Mrs. Lauretano! We had so much fun, and learned a lot!
